Hey everyone So I'd like this thread to be a place to start placing ideas where we can come together to help out your communities or our favorite charities as an Order. I'm thinking we can have a monthly or bimonthly campaign based on what you see as important needs in your communities around the nation or around the world.
Firstly though, a couple of things to help make this run a little more smoothly. We all see a lot of needs out in our communities. Being able to identify what's most important to you will help us focus our efforts. We know we can't cover everything and because we are placing time constraints in monthly or bi-monthly intervals, we'll try to address as many suggestions as possible. That being said, we may not be able to get to everything or it may take some time until we are able to, at least for right now.
Also, having a campaign scheduled is one's way of saying that they are taking on the project. I will give you all the help I can if it's something that needs a bit of organizing, but the responsibility for the project resides with the person scheduling it. Helping out doesn't have to be a complex thing. It could simply be identifying a need and finding a way that we can help with that. It may simply be picking a local charity that allows online donations and contributing to that Whatever you want to do, just be sure that by accepting a campaign, you know what your getting yourself into
I've mentioned community work as a way to focus our efforts and to put a face on it, but if there is a national or international campaign that you support and it's important to you, then it's important to us. Make the suggestion and we can see about scheduling a campaign for it Be creative, figure out what's important to you!
Finally, we all have different financial circumstances. One of the considerations for the bi-monthly campaign compared to the monthly campaign was about our individual finances. This site and these campaigns are meant to do what we can. Don't ever feel pressured to contribute if you don't have the means to do so
As always, if you see anything that needs to be addressed, have suggestions to make to make this run more smoothly, don't hesitate to make them!
Please feel free to leave your suggestions for things you'd like to support and we can work on getting them scheduled. Thanks!

Also, because I think I was a little confusing in the post, making a suggestion doesn't mean that it's scheduled, hahaha. This is to come up with the base list. I'll try to talk to each of you guys and coordinate with Wes and we can do whatever works for you all Thanks!

I'm not really in a position to be able to contribute materially on a monthly or bimonthly basis, though I do think regularity is a good idea. Maybe quarterly would be more realistic? Or maybe that's just me.

I'll be organizing and participating in a a radiothon for the local children's hospital in December. Donations can be made online or by phone. I'll be sure to post the details for anyone wishing to participate. The event raises around $350,000 each year, and I'd love to give the Order some recognition for participating
